It all began with the founding of the “Bergzua” label. Markus Aschenwald, a passionate mountaineer and ski tourer, turned his love of nature and the local mountains into his own fashion line. With the label’s rapid success, requests for individual textiles for clubs and companies also increased and so Markus Aschenwald quickly founded Gwandwerk in Mayrhofen in 2012.

Liquisign was founded in 2000 and currently employs around 45 people in the two business areas of advertising technology and corporate fashion. Liquisign Corporate Fashion includes the service areas of embroidery, printing, sewing as well as the trade with textiles and the production of special collections.

Liquisign now has over 80 embroidery machines in operation. Liquisign currently finishes just over 500,000 textiles per year in all of the above finishing areas. In order to provide sufficient space for further expansion, a new office and production building will be put into operation at the beginning of 2020, shortly before the company’s 20th anniversary.
