The Design Checker is your reliable partner that detects gross errors and shows you where underlay stitches or securing stitches could be missing. Even an excessively high stitch density does not escape his scrutinizing eye. We understand that settings such as stitch density and backing stitches can be confusing at first. That’s why our most experienced specialists have put their heads together to define these for you as a basis. Your satisfaction and user-friendliness are our top priorities.

Over 200 professionally digitized alphabets in a variety of styles, including two puff alphabets for the popular stitch effect.

15 monogram alphabets with over 80 decorations so you can create wonderful personalizations for your customers.

More flexibility through the support of OpenType fonts.

Get a precise visualization of your final embroidery by seeing the type of stitches and lighting in a realistic, real-time display. This allows you to get a clear picture of the final result before completion.

With the compensation for fonts, not only the distortion of fonts can be compensated but also the bumping. This function takes your lettering to a new level.

Fonts can be filled not only with satin stitch but also with complex filling. This is a must for large letters (e.g. on the back of a jacket) and increases the quality of your large letters.

DesignShop 12 significantly simplifies the handling of thread cuts. New one-click options enable automatic cutting between letters, between words and at specific locations.

The OFM file format is unique in the industry and can only be created with DesignShop! Unlike other file formats in embroidery, the file format is the same on the machine and in the embroidery software, so you don’t have to export your embroidery designs to a machine format every time. This allows us to save all production-relevant information in a single file and not just the information on stitches and thread cuts. The OFM format not only contains stitch information, but also color information and information about special effect settings – all of which significantly reduces set-up times and production errors.

DesignShop 12 supports a wide range of industry standard file types, including DST, EXP, EPS, ART8, PES, EMB (support for EMB version 1.8 and earlier) and more. It is also the only software that can create OFM files.

Increase the efficiency of your production process by using a barcode scanner.

Automatic underlay stitches allow you to adjust the underlay stitches of a design quickly and easily. With just one click, you can modify a complete design that was originally created for lightweight fabrics so that it can also be embroidered perfectly on thick knit material.

Letters with color gradients

In the customer-specific shapes you receive 2 alphabets with color gradients and contour.

DesignShop 12 Function - Alphabetic characters with color gradient

High-resolution PNG files

Export stunning high-resolution images that look like embroidery. Perfect for achieving an embroidered look in DTF, DTG or sublimation printing.

DesignShop 12 function - Export PNG files

Edit vectors in Bezier mode, which improves efficiency and quality. You can edit not only outlines, but also stitches. This is very useful when working with file formats such as DST, EXP or other non-OFM formats.

You can use the Group names function to create an embroidery design with text elements, which you can then customize using a table. The customized embroidery files can then be saved as separate files under the respective names.

Easily add frames to designs and create and edit shapes.

Aligning lettering to parts of a design or other lettering needs to be as accurate as possible and can be tedious – with DesignShop 12’s alignment tools, it’s done with just one click.

In embroidery, it is often necessary to use the same motifs or symbols such as copyrights, trademarks or stars over and over again. Instead of digitizing them each time, you can simply drag and drop them from the custom library into your embroidery project. We’ve also added 12 emojis to help you create fun designs for your customers in seconds.

Stipple Fill creates great new effects and can also be used for quilting.

Use our stitch effects to create stunning designs that will wow your customers. These effects add a special touch and individuality to any embroidery project, ensuring that every finished product is not only unique but also of the highest quality. See for yourself how our stitch effects can make all the difference.

The PunchAssistant guides you step-by-step through the digitizing process, allowing full creative freedom and guaranteeing consistent, professional results. The new, color-based element selection in DesignShop 12 further simplifies the process by allowing you to clearly see which elements are subject to change.

Guide lines make your work much easier. Simply drag them to the desired position to place objects precisely and accurately.

DesignShop 12 Function - Editable guidelines

Save up to 50% of your time by working directly with vector files. This is particularly advantageous for company logos, which are usually already available in vector format. Simply open the file in DesignShop, select the stitch type and add stitch directions and dividing lines as required.

Save up to 30% of your time when punching! The start point of the next object is automatically set at the nearest end point of the previous object. This not only reduces the time required for punching, but also the thread cuts when embroidering.

Automatically join elements with a lockstitch underneath an existing element to save on tucks.

Simply select the yarn color card of the manufacturer you are using and the colors of your graphic file will be automatically converted to the corresponding yarn colors.

Change the colour sequence (also embroidery sequence) before digitizing your design with the punch assistant. This saves you time, as it is no longer necessary to adjust the embroidery sequence afterwards. In addition, the overlaps of the objects are correct right from the start.

Convert lines in a graphic into lockstitches or stem stitches within seconds by specifying that the center line should be created during the conversion.

Remove overlaps between two or more elements. More importantly, you can specify exactly how much overlap the elements should have to avoid gaps between them when embroidering.

You have the option of subsequently removing overlaps from any object. This offers you perfect flexibility during the digitization process.

With the ‘Fill areas or holes’ function, you can easily and quickly remove holes and optimize your template for digitization.

For many designs, it is necessary to divide the color blocks according to the embroidery sequence. To make this easier, we have introduced the ‘Add and remove elements’ function. You can simply click on an element to remove it from the current block. If you want to digitize it later, you can add the element again to assign it to another colour block.

The sewing order is one of the most important factors for a high-quality embroidery design. Changing the sewing order after digitizing can be a lot of work. In the “Punch Wizard” you can set the sequence before you digitize to save time.

In the default settings, you can define which tasks the Punch Assistant should perform for you. This means that no further editing is necessary after digitizing. Specify which stitch types should be used, how entry and exit points should be positioned, whether backstitches should be created, how lines should be converted and how detailed the pattern should be.

For pixel files, you can adjust the curve smoothing to achieve the best results when vectorizing your graphic.

You can automatically convert pixel or vector files into embroidery files and at the same time assign a specific fabric type with matching backing stitches. This allows you to precisely calculate the number of stitches and helps you to accurately determine the production costs.

Easily add up to eight borders to your objects in 3 different stitch types and control the distance between the borders and their adjustment to the object.

Save up to 30% of your punching time!

The start point of the next object is automatically set at the nearest end point of the previous object. This not only reduces the time required for punching, but also the thread cuts when embroidering.

Applications for fonts

The new letter type for appliqués makes it possible to embroider any alphabet as an appliqué.

Creating rectangles with rounded corners can be very tedious. With this function, you can create rectangles with rounded corners in no time at all.

Tool

Effortlessly reproduce the charm of handmade cross stitch embroidery with the redesigned cross stitch tool.

Effortless cross-stitch style with DesignShop 12.

Save time with digitization! The ‘Auto Sequence’ function automates time-consuming tasks such as setting entry and exit points, optimizes the arrangement of colors to minimize color changes, and adds running stitches to connect elements and avoid thread cuts.

This function allows you to divide objects along a dividing line and add overlaps where they are needed. This increases the quality of the design and allows you to achieve a higher quality result.

With the curved dividing lines and stitch directions, you can create designs that have a natural, almost handmade look. Animal fur, for example, is brought to life in embroidery designs.

Distortion effects offer you the opportunity to create a variety of visual effects and add a new dimension to your designs. This technique allows you to experiment creatively and create extraordinary, dynamic patterns and textures that effectively emphasize your creative vision.

DesignShop 12 comes with an extensive library of decorative stitch patterns. We have added 46 exciting new patterns to this collection to give your designs and lettering that little bit extra.
